“Air Sofa” by MUJI, which I introduced on this blog the other day, has been in my home for a week now. Surprisingly, it has had unexpected effects, so I’ll write an article about it.
Before this sofa arrived, our home had a studio layout, so we only had essential furniture like a bed, a desk, and a chair. Consequently, the only space to relax was on the bed, and I often found myself spending lazy weekends lounging there…
Even when reading a book, I had to lie on my back or stomach on the bed, constantly shifting positions, which tired out my arms, shoulders, and neck. The worst part was accidentally dozing off while reading. Well, some might consider that the height of luxury, but on weekends, I wanted to make the most of my time.
Since the sofa arrived, sitting on it has become my default position at home. It’s a common suggestion, but reserving the bed solely for sleep supposedly leads to better quality rest.
The other day, I sat on this sofa for over two hours watching a movie, and surprisingly, I didn’t feel tired at all. I truly believe it was a worthwhile purchase.
I’ve heard that it’s often sold out now, but if you come across it at a MUJI store or elsewhere, I highly recommend giving it a try!
